Ice fishing question!?
In the summer we fish in our bay (Leech Lake, MN) and it’s FULL of perch, northern and walleye.
The water is generally 4-7 ft deep in the bay, if we want to try ice fishing, will we still have the same luck or do the fish all leave for deeper waters???
Most fish move deeper in the winter to find warmer water. Some fish will remain shallow as long as there are green weeds(dead weeds hold no fish). Only way to know if your bay is holding fish is to try ! (or cheat and get an underwater camera )
